The rhetoric of “I think we are done” are just words manifesting from hope.

Guys, there are plans to layoff ‘x’ amount every single quarter. It may be all at the start of the Q or it may be spread out per month. Either way, each quarter is slated to let go a certain amount of people.

I’d love to tell you to breathe a sigh of relief but this will continue for the rest of the year.
Letting go 1000 in one day or spread out over a few months is still 1000 people let go. So don’t think just because its just a handful here and there that its all slowing down.

Layoffs will continue for the rest of this entire year.

asked chatgpt about warn in 2026

Yes — **Verizon Communications has WARN Act filings listed for 2026 at its Basking Ridge, New Jersey location. Public state WARN tracking data shows two separate notices for that location in 2026 — one in February 2026 and another dated November 1, 2026 — both affecting around 1,319 employees.

Here’s what that means:
• Yes, they filed a WARN Act notice in 2026 for Basking Ridge.
• These filings indicate planned workforce reductions that the company notified to the state.
• WARN notices give advance notice (typically 60 days) before large layoffs are carried out.

So the answer is yes — Verizon has WARN Act filings in 2026 for that office.

If you want more details on what a WARN filing entails for employees (notice period, benefits, etc.), I can explain that too.

CEO Raise while staff cut

What a real win for Jane. Citibank cuts staff for raises to the top executives. No one knows including the entire department. You just vanish after 10 years and they say nothing. While Jane received a $41 million dollar pay day.

I certainly let go of all my 200+ shares in the company. This is not progress or innovation this is pure theft. I see top executives are selling very quickly. To the management shame on you!

You couldn’t even give a hint of notice saying anything. Not even a 60 day notice prior to letting us go. A tap on the shoulder and say hey you’re going to be laid off after a decade of work. When the stock falls to nothing no one will be shocked.

Carnage

Carnage across Tech and Controls teams this week. It’s like a turkey shoot. Sites hit hard New York, Jersey, Tampa and telecommuters. Folk are getting an hour’s notice of the call and their system access is cut at the end. No ifs and no buts just a quick 15 minutes goodbye and good luck.

WARN Notices

There are many posts about RIFs and advice often posted on social media is to watch WARN trackers. I checked several major states and don’t see many, if any, Elevance notices. But I know people in some of those states were RIFed and given the 60-day notice. (Everyone was remote so I checked physical state and IN.)

Has anyone ever actually been tipped off with the WARN trackers, specifically for Elevance?
