2024 SPENDSETTERS Yasssssssss

Just what I have been waiting for; the 2024 edition of Spend Setters!!🤡 Do we expect the man, the myth, the legend MVK to be the master of ceremonies for SPENDSETTERS 2024?!? I certainly hope so as Coupa without MVK is just a immature Ruby on Rails... — read more

winter is coming…

can’t speak to other areas of the company, but if they are slicing US support I am sure TB has no problem slicing anyone else. the plan is very clear. create a support center in bogota for a fraction of the price, have the US team train them. Offer... — read more

New C Suite?

Interesting to see a new COO has been placed, does this mean Rob is gone? Any update on a new CEO?

Round 2 Predictions?

I am hearing rumors that the next round might be before the end of July, anyone else hearing something different?

Just a matter of time

I feel terribly insecure and I am worried it is just a matter before another round of layoffs happen. It is affecting me mentally and I’m thinking of quitting the company. There is very little support from the management team and I can’t continue in... — read more

Job security

Does anybody else feel like job security is now a thing of the past at Coupa?

Product and Engineering update

They failed to give a clear picture on the layoffs, neither did they give details of the future roadmap. All they said they cut staff to balance growth and profitability which doesn’t make sense. There were no real changes to the leadership, poor... — read more

What were they thinking?

Now that we know better who was let go, it's obvious this layoff has done a great job of getting rid of some of the best people! I can't help but wonder what criteria were used to decide who to let go. It's mind-boggling to think that some folks who... — read more

code of conduct violation

The biggest shameful fact is that the decisions who are fired were taken in many cases on the basis of personal relationships. Their senior most engineering person is "close" friend with very senior lady who has special "blessings" for a contractor... — read more

They are letting go the most skilled employees

I still can't believe that several very talented colleagues, from whom you could learn many things, were laid off. Why? Where is this company actually going if it's getting rid of such people? Surely they will not be easy to replace.

I'm feeling liberated

It could have been worse. The severance is decent enough and I can take a month off before I start looking for something new. The environment and atmosphere have changed a lot in the past 12 months and I feel like my leaving the company was... — read more

CEO email

Dear Colleagues, For several months, the executive team has thoughtfully shaped our operating plan for 2023 and the years ahead. As everyone understands, Coupa faces a macro environment that’s shifted from “growth at all costs” to one that demands... — read more

Severance email

Dear [Your Name], Unfortunately, your role is impacted by the workforce changes occurring around the company. Here’s what to expect: You’ll receive a calendar invite from one of your senior leaders with the subject, “Meeting,” where we’ll... — read more

Why no WARN notices?

I thought it was a federal requirement - how is it possible that such a big layoff goes without one?

Ineptitude in Action

Juding by who stays and who gets cut, it shows you how ineffective the entire HR process at Coupa was. Nobody at TB has a clue about who the important people are and all the decisions being made are about cutting high salary people. Sometimes this is... — read more

Pay attention to the age of those affected

I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere, but here most of those laid off were in the higher age bracket. I don't know if it means anything, but I find it peculiar and also very convenient for the company (those of us who've been here longer are paid... — read more

UK update

They have informed everyone in UK - everyone with a 15 minute meeting in their GCal is impacted… It was a “notice” and all official papers coming in 2-3 weeks.

Management Exodus

Rob, is gone, who else has left? May tell us where the cuts will be targeted.

Predictions Thread

Which departments will go? Predictions? HR and recryfirst obvs, but then? US downsize in general, loose Germany? Keep Inida per costs? Get rid of high earners or by department locations?

No layoffs so far

No layoffs so far, maybe they will be the TB exception! They seem to be doing well

I've started applying

I'm not going to wait and see what's going to happen. I know my worth and I know I can get out before the proverbial sh-t hits the fan. I have no intention of just sitting around and stressing over what may come next. I honestly think many of you... — read more

Advice to Coupa employees

Advice to Coupa employees, start preparing for layoffs. I worked for a Thoma Bravo acquired company, Auctane. Shortly after the acquisition, most of the executive team left, including the CEO. There was an all-hands meeting shortly after the new CEO... — read more

Don't quit!

I know many are panicking right now and trying to figure out ways to leave before the proverbial sh-t hits the fan, but I wouldn't do that if I were you. Don't leave severance behind if the chances are high you'll get one. A lot of people will be... — read more

Layoffs today
