Job security

Does anybody else feel like job security is now a thing of the past at Coupa?

Looking at thelayoff pages from other companies that were acquired by TB, multiple rounds of layoffs seem to be the norm.

They will always blame it on "macroeconomic headwinds" when they can't make the desired profit and let go another bunch of employees while the leadership team retain their jobs.

There was never job security at Coupa. They were notorious for "sneak attack" terminations for no reason and without any warning. If you weren't part of the "old boys club" you were never safe.

Certainly, all tech, maybe, PE tech definitely. Time to retrain? What's a good industry career going forward?

Could probably ask that same question with respect to alot of other tech companies. Not unique to Coupa, ask employees at all the FAANGs, or everywhere else. But yes, I don't feel my job at Coupa is secure anymore, despite what they said at all hands today.
