I feel terribly insecure and I am worried it is just a matter before another round of layoffs happen. It is affecting me mentally and I’m thinking of quitting the company. There is very little support from the management team and I can’t continue in this fashion.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the company is sold again in 2 years time.

Looking at 3rd layoff at Anaplan, next one in Coupa is not far away. Even the CEO in Anaplan said all the same but hardly meant it. They are going down on severance even with every new wave and are totally galloping the bonuses and stocks. It's the same situation with all in Coupa now so try to find something out if you can. You will not be secured in Coupa for any time soon.
Ask yourself this:
How much time without layoffs would it take for you to feel secure in your job again? Let's say your answer is 2 years.
Szenario 1: No more layoffs will happen at coupa for the next 5 years, but you do not know that. You feel insecure now and your mental health is deteriorating. How will you feel during the next 2 years? In 2 years, you'll start to believe that your job is secure after all. How long will it take to get your mental health back? How wonderful do the next years at coupa have to be, so that you will say it was worth those 2 years of constantly worrying?
Szenario 2: There is another round of layoffs at the end of this month and you are laid off. Feels bad at first, but you won't have to worry.
Which szenario feels better to you? If number 2, then get out now.
Get your CV ready, switch linkedin to open for work (visible to external recruiters only) and start applying. If your mental health is already down so much that you cannot imagine where to get the strength to find another job, then take a few days of sick leave. Take a day to relax and then start applying.
Wish you the best, whatever you decide.
There won’t be another round for the rest of the year.
The new CEO will be announced before the end of July.
Focus on self care. It isn’t an easy environment anywhere.
I think most employees I have spoken with believe there will be another round before the new CEO gets put in place. Everyone is in a tough place if they love what they do in trying to decide to wait it out or leave.
Instead of quitting, start applying elsewhere in the meantime - you have the control of your destiny
Go find another job, that you like, stop crying about it
