Thread regarding Coupa Software layoffs

How are your “supporting” leaders supporting you during these difficult times?

They aren’t managers, they are supporting your growth! How’d the “support” go when the rubber hit the road?

I know looking a layoff in the face can be daunting and scary, but if these people laid you off, they are doing you a favor. The amount of gaslighting, manipulation, overwork and mostly cr-ppy people to work with is not worth being miserable every day. Almost everyone I know that has left this organization, either out of their own free will or not, talks about how much happier they are that they no longer work there.

What support would I have liked to seen? None necessarily— the comment was based on the fact that COUP emphasizes that people don’t “manage” others at Coupa, they “support” them. I call B.S. if “supporting” your employees means mass layoffs, and then replacing those displaced by lower wage, lower skilled employees from developing countries.

What kind of support would you have liked to see? Honestly curious, since I've never experienced a layoff before.

Sounds like you’ve made up your mind already then. It’s not going to fix itself.
