I'm not sure if it's the same everywhere, but here most of those laid off were in the higher age bracket. I don't know if it means anything, but I find it peculiar and also very convenient for the company (those of us who've been here longer are paid more than younger folks.)

what about those retained? What’s their average age compared to those laid off? Coupa seems to have a higher median age than most companies.
Would recommend anyone who thinks they were wrongly terminated to hire a lawyer.
Seems more so location based. New hires. This hit everyone end to end, from new low level support to higher up and middle management.
Cannot confirm this, layoffs here (EMEA) more in the under 40s and much younger. Let go of many ADRs and they are all 20 sth.
Lots of younger people got let go too. The majority of sales is under 40.
Where are you based? That trend would certainly make sense, money wise. Stupid of course, losing that level of experience. But they don't care.
I agree. They cannot discriminate based on age. I’ll be hiring a lawyer to ensure this wasn’t factored in
