Thread regarding Coupa Software layoffs

code of conduct violation

The biggest shameful fact is that the decisions who are fired were taken in many cases on the basis of personal relationships. Their senior most engineering person is "close" friend with very senior lady who has special "blessings" for a contractor company. That has impacted many and so much so that many capable permanent people are fired saving higher paid contractors . They both are pretty shameless about it in open and many old employees are aware of this.

Sooner or later Thoma people will find that ethical code violation and fix it but many more may get affected by then.

Hope one of the remaining ones can gather courage and report it soon.

Sometimes people involved in violations are blind sighted but in this case biggest culprits are senior management people, the directs of the head of the engineering. Anyone who doesn't know about this (Unlikely) may ignore but the ones who know about it, how can they be so shameless? The one who let go most of his team, how he sleeps in night knowing well that wrong relationships influenced his decisions? How they all put up face in office knowing what is happening? The code of conduct clearly mandates them to put a stop to it. Are they so afraid of their jobs that they are making themselves a joke with no respect? Thoma is sitting on a time bo-b as when this will get exposed, many of the past decisions will be the fruits of this poisonous tree.

When most senior person is involved and all of his directs and all old timers know about and still are spineless to do anything, who do you suggest will listen? This all is happening shamelessly in open. With Thoma Bravo in picture now, there is slight hope that they fix this to help the remaining people.

Observed other violations of the conduct, reported before the layoffs, no response or meaningful action, more likely the reason i was laid off.

Haha. What a load of cr-p. If you have the ba--s to do so, go and report it. Forget capabilities, it boils down to cost and you know it.

OP, if you are in the know, why don't you report it yourself?
