Can someone give me a ball park figure for this?

Just got let go by Accenture - They called is a skills rebalancing exercise. Unusual part was that I was recently promoted and billable on a project for the next 6 months. Turns out they laid off about 5% of the management consulting workforce.

I understand that compensation varies per geographic region, so, if you can, please post numbers for East / West Coast and Mid-West. Thanks!

This seems to be a cycle at Accenture every few years regardless of the economy or market place. They just like to get rid of the high priced help and this usually flows down to the senior and mid-management levels as well.
