Thread regarding Accenture Ltd. layoffs

Accenture India Layoffs 2014 - ADC

Any news about the cuts in the delivery centers - I heard about planned reorg in September and that some resources will be redundant.

Yes, the layoffs for bottom bracket is a bitter truth in IDC. Guarenteed.

What locations are affected? Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi?

All things are good however I do not like Variable Pay, in CTC it was one of the biggest elements of pay but when it comes in hand - so we sometimes varied 50 to 70 percent. Accenture India has poor relocation, they will pressurize you to relocate to other location if you are not on a project and projects are not available at your original location. Also, the kind of work culture and environment you find in Bangalore Accenture is not the same at our Delhi-NCR location. That's too bad, as Bangalore is really good. I see layoffs every once in a while but mostly people leave because they find better jobs.

Nothing is happening here in India right now, we have over 900 positions open, so take it easy, we'll be hiring for some time. If you are with IBM or EDS, then you have a problem, but Accenture is doing fairly good and you are in safe hands here. We are much better and can do more for less money even though our rates are highter, there is nothing to be concerned about. There is some soft areas for BP outsourcing in declining industries, however that has nothing to do with this thread.
