Just got let go by Accenture - They called is a skills rebalancing exercise. Unusual part was that I was recently promoted and billable on a project for the next 6 months. Turns out they laid off about 5% of the management consulting workforce.

I am not the original poster, I work in Canada and I know that some folks were let go. I would not say it was 5%. I do not anyone who was terminated though (new Analyst here)...
Sorry to hear this, similar thing happened to me in 2008, Significantly Above rated in Sept, got the boot in March. Do you mind disclosing the region and level? Also, is this affecting only Mgmt Consulting side, how about Systems folks?
