If you are with Accenture all you need to do is to stay chargeable. It really boils down to that. Get good skills, develop good network, have client appreciate and like your work and you'll stay chargeable. This is especially important during the downturns when Accenture cuts people on the bench. Keep in mind that layoffs at ACN are typically very orderly, organized and there is a quite bit of analysis that goes into this. Also, make sure your performance ratings are as good as possible, outstanding performance pays off and you'll be safe if you are in top 30% or so. So, stay chargeable, stick to the client, do good job and you are safe.
