Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

toxic team

vp bolted so directors are now trying to level up themselves by punching down on the lower level members on the team. it’s actually stunning how far you can go by giving all your work to your juniors with zero direction and then publicly dressing them down when it’s not up to your (see: dipsh-t) standards. so much for being an industry veteran when someone with no experience can tell you how it is. the job hunt continues!

GB mentions ownership, my director believes it's all her and friends.

But to keep my job, I most likely need to have some direction to get good at.
It's so hopeless for me.

Sadly this is no surprise, given her background, GB was he-l bent in turning Anthem's culture toxic like UHC

Medicaid Encounters is really bad with the toxicity. If you see an opening in that area avoid it all costs. Plus they are always riffing. I think they just hire people in do they have riffing options later.

The constant layoffs have really made it a horrible work environment at this company. My back barely is able to heal before another coworker shoves another kn--e in it to make sure they are not the next one to get riffed. I can't wait for the job market to open back up so I can escape this toxic h_ell hole.....

This place has become a toxic sh-t hole the past few years. Su-ks because it used to be a really good company to work for.
