How long has it been taking people out there for Sunlife to transfer the index funds to your brokerage of choice? Also, for those taking a lump sum from the pension plan, how long before those funds hit a LIRA account once the forms are submitted?

Curious if any AT&T employees who are over 50 and qualify for a pension have been unexpectedly put on a “Development Plan”?

After nine years with cvx, I am planning to move on. I just have a perhaps stupid question: since our pension is vested after 5 years of service, will we get all the lump sum number shown in total awards webpage if we choose to take it out? and if we choose to let company manage it, the number will continue to grow as we approach 65 right?

Long story short I took EOI and left. I'm still waiting for my pension payout. They received my papers in early February and every time I call, I get the check is in the mail excuse. Received two letters stating that they are going to pay me but not the actual check. This company can't even deliver on their severance agreements which they (HR) are not fulfilling. My next step to talk to an attorney.

Apollo (APO) & their insurance subsidiary Athene are big private credit players that are under liquidity pressure due to a market perception of increased credit risk resulting in a sharp decline in APO share price. This is important because AT&T off loaded some of their pension liabilities to Athene.

Under the group annuity contracts, Athene made an irrevocable commitment and became solely responsible for paying the pension benefits of each transferred participant beginning with their August 2023 pension payments. The transaction did not change the amount of pension benefits payable.

The transaction covered approximately 96,000 AT&T participants and beneficiaries, and was funded directly by assets of the pension trust — requiring no cash or asset contributions by AT&T.

I know this a layoff forum so I apologize in advance if this sounds insensitive. Just trying to get a feel for the company since it’s 3 years before 401k/pension vest.

What was your experience?

I fedexed my papers so they’d be received before the tenth only to be told to check back the end end of January.

I’ve heard that if you leave once your pension vests (after 5 years), the company likes to pay you your lump sum to get the liability off the books.

Is that true?

And if so, anyone know what those payout amounts look like after 5, 7, 10, 15, etc years?

After reviewing the information online and calling two different reps in the hr/retirement area, I cannot get an answer to my question. Does anyone know if the old pension plan - like from 2002 - has a lump sum withdrawal option? It seems like that might be a better bet if you are over 60.

I was on the old plan before the cash plan. I show mine is about 25-30% lower than when I left the company. Heard they had some changes? Whats going on??

Just one more f you. I am thankful to have a lump sum pension of note (30+ yr employee) but I just lost about 35K.

Don’t know what’s going on, but reps not really willing to explain things. Company must of retired and hired new employees. Not very knowledgeable nor do they seem like they want to help. Hopefully Verizon will light a fire up their kulo!

Has anyone in the UK changed their Aptia fund from the default Dell Growth Portfolio?

There must be some more diverse better performing funds we can choose?
