General discussion

I know everyone is feeling a certain amount of tension, but if you’re personally not worried about the layoff where are you located (US, Canada, Ontario, ect) and what department are you in?

Region Changes

Does anyone know about any region changes pertaining to the field/ops in the US?

They can lay me off

I don't hate it here, but I've been at Enbridge long enough to be entitled to a decent severance payment, and in all honesty, I'm ready to move on. This is not the same company it was ten years ago and while I will miss some things - like my... — read more

Everyone is a bit emotional. There is no point in getting worked up. Start mass applying to other companies. If you get fu---d then you get fu---d.

With rumors of layoff since late last year, what preparations did you do on your end so far? Is it correct to assume that with Enbridge manpower generally makes above average and good benefits package, would you say you are financially prepared if... — read more

Don’t expect package like VWO

I was told the package for this round of layoffs are way less than 2020 VWO, they gave a max of 2 years back in 2020, that will not be offered this time, 3-12 months max. So don’t rush into signing anything right away.

Your Reasons for Staying

Serious Question: What is your reason for staying especially if you had been with Enbridge for a long time? Enbridge had been laying off people since 2015 and obviously stockholders is more important than employees.

The List!?!?

I know for a fact a list of people to be laid off!!!! Someone should definitely post it here!!!! You know who you are….

I’m a contract worker.

I know my odds are low of making it out of this layoff still with a job. I was hopeful to get a permanent spot at Enbridge within my group, but now I certainly am not. It’s sad to feel my career at Enbridge is likely over without it ever truly... — read more

What metric is being used?

I am interested in understanding how Enbridge will decide which staff to let go vs the staff they choose to keep. Union or non-union. Is it performance based? Is it input from Supervisors, Managers, etc.? Is it roll of the magic 8-ball? If it's... — read more

How will the union respond

We know there's no layoffs before letting contractors go per the CBA. Plus, we know Enbridge are a formidable anti-union organization. So who wins? The irresistible force or the immovable object?

Why a month's notice?

Someone, please explain the thought process for today's email. I'm all for transparency but to put everyone on high alert for the next month? Lots of people were already super anxious, and now even those who were blissfully unaware are panicked. — read more

this is not going to be the only round of layoffs

Toxic TIS

I wish I could volunteer for a layoff…ready to move onto something else and get out. The environment in TIS is as toxic as it gets especially with a Director who bullies employees!

What a push over place to work. Management is brutal and the union is a joke. Everyone is scared to stand up to either. Thanks to the few that will and have. We all see you
