Apparently cuts in London have started. Anyone know anything?

I know everyone is feeling a certain amount of tension, but if you’re personally not worried about the layoff where are you located (US, Canada, Ontario, ect) and what department are you in?

Does anyone know about any region changes pertaining to the field/ops in the US?

Everyone is a bit emotional. There is no point in getting worked up. Start mass applying to other companies. If you get fu---d then you get fu---d.

I was told the package for this round of layoffs are way less than 2020 VWO, they gave a max of 2 years back in 2020, that will not be offered this time, 3-12 months max. So don’t rush into signing anything right away.

Serious Question: What is your reason for staying especially if you had been with Enbridge for a long time? Enbridge had been laying off people since 2015 and obviously stockholders is more important than employees.

If they are only offering you what your local government regulations stipulate the minimum severance is you could potentially be entitled to more. Even after the lawyer's cut it could be worth it.

Does anyone else feel like Yammer is beyond fake and full of the most kiss-as--s in our fine organization? I can’t even read it anymore at this point.

We know there's no layoffs before letting contractors go per the CBA. Plus, we know Enbridge are a formidable anti-union organization. So who wins? The irresistible force or the immovable object?

Looking for an honest answer, what exactly is the criteria for choosing the people to let go? Has anyone been involved at some level and can share?

I wish I could volunteer for a layoff…ready to move onto something else and get out. The environment in TIS is as toxic as it gets especially with a Director who bullies employees!

Any word if there will be any bridging to retirement? Previous reductions had some bridging to retirement for employess that were older than 55.
