Yep TC and IOL did layoffs last year. Suncor laid off 1,500 which they completed last November in the name of cost efficiencies.
Shell announced they will cut 200 jobs in search of efficiencies. This is not unique to Enbridge or just the oil and gas industry.
You can easily find online some websites that tracks layoff across Canada and US and it’s happening a lot because companies are looking for most cost efficiencies.
