Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Any Idea What Group or Department is at risk?

Just curious about rumours going around what departments and groups may be targetted for layoff in Ontario. I have not heard much myself being in a very small secluded group.

Agree will be mid management, some VPs and Directors, with HR and TIS , after the merge too many head counts in each department that kind of do not much now. MyHR included as well as they merged with HR now.

They should look for cost efficiencies in support group. SCM has some areas for improvements, too many advisors. HR can use some efficiencies too, interview scheduling and training and other tasks can be outsourced for lower costs. Too many supervisors and managers in other areas.

I wonder if the gas utilities they just purchased in the US are facing layoffs too?

SCM, too many deadweight. They should start outsourcing some areas and get rid of some managers and supervisors.

If the unions would be exposing themselves to potential class action if they agree to something that conflicts with Collective Bargaining Agreements. They can't risk that.

I heard its role cuts. Union might just be the bottom 100 less senior staff if the Union won't work with Enbridge.
