Rumors suggest that there's a chevron inspired remake of the lord of the rings. Apparently they're arguing over the precious representing dividends or managers bonuses. All are aligned on filming in India to save costs.
Folks working in Refineries what's your thoughts on 1 barrel 1 refinery
Folks working in Refineries whats your thoughts on 1 M barrel 1 refinery theme .. seems like Cut most of jobs except Operations and Maintenance. Rest all shared across Refineries ?
Reality for San Ramon folks
Thought exercise. If the reduction target is as high as other post suggested, probably most if not all of the cut would be from San Ramon to save on relocation package.
Commercial: slash and burn
Anyone have any idea of the cut targets once they combine D/S, M/S and Chems commercial and VCO groups? Axeman may be sharpening his blade right about now.
OO Townhall
Looks like the 30% number for finance was accurate (for the US). 10% overall including FSS. Sounds like they’re trying to eliminate BU finance and centralize anything that’s not “decision analyst” support. Curious how they define that. Overall a... — read more

The company is a disaster right now
High performer here who has been through other layoffs here and I am as down as you get around here. Its absolutely miserable working here and it's ELT's fault for the way this place has become. I don't know a single person who isn't stressed and... — read more

UK expats on the block?
How can we justify having UK expats in Houston during a massive layoff? I get it, the base salary is roughly 70% of US payroll at the same PSG. However, when you add up the other benefits of UK payroll (eg. car allowance, 20+% contribution to... — read more
Corporate Affairs Future?
Many posts about IT and Finance -- any ideas of how Corporate Affairs will fare in the reorg and layoff game? More centralization? Less focus on legislation with Trump in office? How will Chevron fight changing public opinion?
Worst CEO and ELT Team?
Is our current ELT team the worst in Chevron history and and in the industry? When layoffs and outsourcing is your only lever to pull we have terrible "leaders".
Cratering morale and efficiency - welcome to the land if unintended consequences
I had 3 hours of unplanned discussions on reorgs with coworkers yesterday, as reorgs details dribble out from various town halls. It was literally unavoidable. I’ve never seen morale this low, or people this checked out here before. The next 6... — read more

San Ramon Timeline
Given some of the info that’s trickling out about 2025 layoffs, like the Finance update, did they just straight up lie and set false expectations when they communicated the HQ move timeline? This is wrong on so many levels.
Finance Dept to lay off 60%
Heard from a Houston colleague that 2025 reorg for the finance dept will result in a 60 pct reduction on workforce. Seems crazy high...

Hybrid email?
A few posts here are referencing a hybrid email that was sent but I didn’t receive anything. Care to share who the audience is for the email and who sent it? Thanks!
The way hybrid will be rolled out will not be fair
The program itself is fair, the way that Chevron management will communicate it / roll it out / justify it will not be. They will gaslight everyone into thinking this is a data driven approach when they clearly have seen employee morale is in the... — read more
What happens to EMC?
I can’t imagine a bigger bonfire of money than EMC. Nothing like marking up consulting costs 15% for no value. I hope they’re cut first.
Honestly the new hybrid program is fair
If you are psg 26+ you should be doing the type of collaborative work where M-TH is required. Let the rest of the folks come in three days a week. I say this as a PSG 26 who would prefer wfh personally.
Countdown to End of Hybrid
How much longer do us non LTIP peons have to enjoy hybrid? Or does this mean they’re laying off everyone below 26?

Enterprise Wide Reorg
All indicators based on what Mike is saying there will be more layoffs enterprise wide. Didn't he say they weren't going to do that anymore after the layoff to end all layoffs in 2020? Can we trust anyone above our direct supervisor, if that?
Don’t go to the parties..
Skip the holiday parties. Don’t socialize with leaders that don’t care about you and will fire you tomorrow. Don’t feed their egos. It won’t help you in the layoffs.
iT Layoffs
