RIF in the works?

I hear that Planning has its sights on technical staff - too many, too expensive. There's some meeting scheduled at the end of May. I hear layoffs could happen by July. Anyone else hearing this?

Getting a promotion

To some extent, it is clear to everyone how those who do not deserve promotion still get promoted despite their lack of competence. However, why is that those who really deserve it often do not get promoted and eventually end up leaving here? I am... — read more

Planning … what a joke

All they do is plan the demise of Apache and now they are on yet another G&A witch hunt. If you are not in one of the protected corporate teams look out since I am sure they will be left unscathed once again. I am sure their power hungry egomaniac... — read more

New salary

When is the new year salary going to be announced? Any rumors about raises?

Waste of money

Get back to Basics. Stop with all these unnecessary positions and initiatives. Perfect example is the lunch and learn on how “Hop hop changed the world”. What does that have to do with oil and gas extraction? Whomever is budgeting these items... — read more

Were there always so many EVPs? Hmmm the company isn’t getting any bigger. Sooooooo!?

Suriname on the news

“TotalEnergies and Apache’s hesitancy is understandable when it is considered that it will take around $10 billion to develop Block 58 and capitalize on the considerable oil potential the block holds.” At Oilprice.com

Apache Houston Office Moving

A couple of questions to current Apaches: So did they tell the employees in advance or did they find out the morning of? Does this reflect Apache not being a big player anymore? Is the lease year to year to they can sell when they find a su---r? What... — read more

Snook

So we sold snook ! What is next ??

The priority is to leave

It is not surprising that many more people are dedicated to looking for a new job, rather than actually investing effort in their job here. Honestly, how much effort do you put in to get the work done? I'd assume that most of us do only the bare... — read more

People still leaving

Lots of people are disappearing. All ages and titles. Many are just waiting until after Feb or hoping for a buyout. It’s quite a shame. If we sell much more we will only need 300 people in Houston.

Apache seems directionless

I intend to submit my resignation because this company has never seemed more directionless than it does now. If the leadership had some concrete and serious long-term plans, the management would at least care a little more about knowledgeable... — read more

Is it true legacy will be sold next year ?

Stop flocking here looking for hope

There is no hope here for someone who thinks that they will succeed in achieving something with their hard work. This is where careers come to die. Maybe it hasn't always been that way, but in the short time I've been here, Apache has only changed... — read more

Lots of pretenders

All these years, for as long as I've been working here, I don't think there have ever been more pretenders here than now. Maybe I'm wrong? On the one hand, there are those who are overloaded with work, have experience and are almost not valued at... — read more

Bonus next year

They are already telling us that the bonus next year will be lower because of production targets, but Apa finally is having record profits. Explain that.

Functional idiocy coming to an end?

We are pushing functional leads out faster than our reserve base dwindles. Could we be seeing the beginning of the dismantling of the fake reorg, orchestrated to save our over-fed leaders skin, which disabled an already poorly functioning system. We... — read more

It’s time to replace her. Retire or leave so we can get some needed changes. Too many clowns in management.
