This Will not improve morale. Good luck HR. Maybe be more transparent with the real reasons you do things. If you do this to them, you will clearly jerk anyone around.

Do you think that any of us could get away with having alcohol shipped to the office? I think not. I guess that privilege is only afforded to the childhood friends of the CEO.
Should APA really pay for the time MM mail room employees spent receiving his wine shipments?
It's no surprise you don't know who is over HR and that's how HR wants it. If anyone actually knows your HR rep, please share your secret. HR is full of self promoters who are constantly changing policies and procedures so they cannot be measure or held accountable for performance. They bring in consultants to lead initiatives (Project D-mbA$#end) because nobody in HR has the ability to think strategically, communicate transparently with the organization and tell MM/ELT what they really think.
It doesn't help MM is a self absorbed Meathead who enjoys retelling stories of how awesome he is and all the amazing wine tasting excursion he has taken. WellDoneHRWellDone!!
I don't keep up w the HR team LOL!
Initials of the HR Director, please.
of course everyone in the bloated HR org, which for some reason keeps hiring consultants to do their job, got promotions. they are way more important than the lowly technical staff that find, quantify and produce the product that is sold
I think everyone in HR got promoted.
The director is really just following the EVP’s lead. I am sure the current VP is on the way out in favor of the Director.
The HR director is one of the worst hunan beings in the company. Just rancid
I'm a Geo and after 11 years I become II one more time.
This debacle is going to be one for the history books. Oh well, I guess it will be OK for the king and his court while we all get screwed.
A game will solve everything. What a joke!
Any RIF in RE will be from people leaving for better opportunities not layoffs. Function leads can’t staff up quickly enough to offset talent leaving.
By my communication and observation, 30% of Geos and REs will be gone (one way or another) by 03/2023.
Yes, it looks like it’s going to be a very long slog at Senior to move up. Honestly, good luck with retention if you expect anyone that’s good or motivated to hang around for that long with no career progress.
The Company has had no structure and has put poorly trained individuals into jobs for years (CEO, VP HR, VP Procurement, Admin, Treasury, name it). Individuals who would NEVER compete for like roles externally.
The Company is also over 20% subscribed for its size.
Layoffs, of course. Downgrading, yes. All coming your way very soon.
I know. I am working on it!
Because some of the team leads are connected with people up high that fight for them, politics basically
Feel like it would take 10+ years for Sr. to get to Advisor level, no?
Some team leads became supervisors and some became managers, why?
If it wasn’t clear to everyone before this latest disaster it should be now. The executive team is enriching themselves and their friends at the expense of the rest of us. All while the board is standing by and allowing the demise of a once great company. Entitlement of the king and his court is the new Apache culture. I bet it is a year or less before the implosion.
F this place and the "executive management". Anyone who has visited UCross should be shown the door.
Funny how title adjustments were done based on the work you do and the level of work. Yet a lot of directors who should be Sr managers….are still directors.
Obviously employees are given the least priority within APA. You know what to do when the oil price is not bad.
what about the long term compensation?
Did your boss talk to you to give you your new title?
Apa is moving to pay above average in the industry to pay average. Apa is not a premier company anymore, but still a sweatshop.
That’s it, this is a project to suppress wages in a clumsy and poorly disguised manner.
This basically means that if you want any sort of significant increase in pay, you’re going to have to jump ship now.
I guess they’re calculating that we won’t call their bluff, or they really don’t care if it increases attrition - they get a reduction in headcount and G&A without having to pay out severance.
Yeah, just look at their FAQS - Will my salary be impacted by the job title change?
No, your base salary will not be impacted at this time. But it will be impacted in the future! Pay bands will be associated with each job title, so by reducing the number of job titles those being "demoted" will be stuck at the top of the new pay band they are in. Expect little or no pay raise for a few years until you become closer to the average pay for that band. So much for transparency.
The new career framework is completely a joke! You should encourage rather than pi-s off your essential frontline workforce who do the daily heavy lifting. I can only think that this is a cheap way that HR came up with to “lay off “people otherwise it doesn’t make any single sense!
