Getting a promotion

To some extent, it is clear to everyone how those who do not deserve promotion still get promoted despite their lack of competence. However, why is that those who really deserve it often do not get promoted and eventually end up leaving here? I am interested in your opinion on how long one should wait for a promotion before starting to look for other opportunities.

Yeah way to:

  1. Demotivate your employees further
  2. Motivate people to now look elsewhere to get that promotion and/or pay raise

But, maybe that’s the point.

Getting promoted at Apa is a joke if you are not one of the favorites of the boss or someone with power. Even if you exceed the requirements for an internal job post, they don’t even bother to interview u, at least to
pretend fairness. Apa is mafia style.

I’ve been here for a long time and ready to look elsewhere. It’s not a great place to work when you’re trapped in your management teams’ prison of lies.

A decent manager will push for you. A good manager will fight for your advancement. A clown manager will avoid the subject or act surprised when you mention wanting to apply for a promotion. Self serving losers with personal and political agendas are all over Apache.

It’s all a scam. It’s all whatever fits the agenda of management depending on what team. They say there aren’t openings. But conveniently they create positions and move people to promote their friends and family. If you haven’t been promoted quickly. You probably won’t.

You have to actually tell your manager your expectations…

Here’s the deal…Apache is third-rate, at best. Get some self esteem, and quit working for Tweedle D-mb and his “Leadership” Team.

One year after having a serious conversation with your manager about your interest in a promotion and outlining what is needed for it. Without the communication, simply waiting for a promotion will not get you any where. Making that ambition clear can go a long way. Good luck.
