Expected Announcements

So what announcements can we expect in the first two weeks of July? Will they be made at each department level, or will it be one major announcement at the company level?

Nothing but the truth

Some people just don’t want to hear it. But let’s be honest here. AS is a horrible insurance company and the ONLY reason people remain is either they won’t find anything better OR they are waiting to get paid to leave. THAT IS A FACT. There is... — read more

NGIC/Encompass

Next week starts the pure disaster for NG and Encompass. All Encompass claims start on the Cr-p of a system called EPIC. Production will go way down. Customer service will suck. It still makes no sense why they bought this company. NG adjusters... — read more

Retention

If Allstate wants to retain Esurance employees they’re going to have to change things like better health benefits (no more high deductible plans) and benefits to compete with other large organizations. Allstate will need to pay us fairly and give us... — read more

Performance reviews

How much do these have to do with who has been laid off and who will be laid off? If they are pertinent, does that mean you are expected to be “better than expected“ every year?

Exhausted by Friday

With the amount of work we have to do due to unrealistic goals, I am so tired by Friday that I keep making mistakes throughout the entire day. I just can't concentrate and I keep falling behind. How do you folks deal with this? I'm worried that if I... — read more

Layoff adjusters over 60

Allstate needs to layoff adjusters over 60. VTO needs to be offered. Allstate could hire two adjusters for the same salary and get double the work done.

Bye bye Lead Counsel

Your roles are "redundant" and you are being replaced. Have fun with your assessment! Now you know how it feels to be treated like cr-p.

First Party Casualty Just lost its Claim Field Director

Notice went out the Pam Overton newly appointed First Party Casualty Claim Field Director is retiring. There was no indication that she was leaving prior. She seemed excited to learn her new role and oversee FPC teams. This is unsettling.

UNION

I was raised to think unions bad, protect the lazy, with modern labor laws they aren't needed. How times have changed. I will consider paying dues, just for chance to get a labor organizer into Allstate. The abuses are ridiculous and beyond... — read more

How do I increase my likelihood to be selected for layoff?

If another round is coming in August like some of you are claiming, what can I do to increase my chance of being selected for the layoff? Start slacking? Decrease performance to barely above a UN? Tell my manager that I volunteer as tribute?

How badly you want to get out of here?

I’ve been trying in every way lately. I would like to give notice at this very moment. I’ve sent a lot of apps and hope to get an offer soon because I can’t wait for the layoffs. I'll probably agree to a worse job than I have here, but the only thing... — read more

Hybrid, Full Remote, or back in office ??

Those of you who have been interviewing with other companies, gotten offers, or have even just talked to recruiters, what are most companies requiring as far as office verses remote work??

LEGAL: Harold webinar today

What the he-l just happened? What did they even say? Assessments for all of legal or just manager level? That was so vague and so terrible. Did they say non-attorneys are getting new managers? Did they say there will be layoffs in support staff? It... — read more

Leaving soon

I plan on giving my notice soon… how does one go about transferring their 401k? Do I contact HR or go through the company the 401k is through? I think it’s fidelity.

How safe are our benefits?

Let's be honest, the only thing that I can say is good about Allstate right now are the benefits we're getting. Which, of course, makes me worry that they'll find a way to mess with them sometime soon. What are the chances of that happening and us... — read more

Union time is TODAY

What is needed here is a union. Look at how well they have worked out for Ford, GM, and government workers for the last 50 plus years. Before all the union haters jump in, this board is about preventing Sudan layoffs/bs performance firing and a... — read more

They will never take responsibility

It seems to me that there is no chance that those at the top will accept that it is their fault for the situation at Allstate, and not the employees who, in their opinion, never do enough. Personally, I think Allstate has great employees given the... — read more

No such thing as friendships

The coworkers who you thought were friends - aren’t. For those you interact with and consider your friends while you’re at work, I bet that once you leave the company - it’s out of sight, out of mind. For example, I haven’t heard from any of my... — read more

AE - Town Hall with Terrance

Does anyone here know what Terrance will reveal to the EA's today? Supposedly big (and probably bad) news for EAs

They are completely disconnected from reality?

I think this company is most undermined by the arrogance of those at the top who think there are still a lot of those who won’t mind their talent being devalued here. I too have a hard time accepting that this company is not like it used to be, but... — read more

SPOC

Single point of contact to occur next month. Encompass/Nat Gen/AIA. Probably be the timing of more layoffs too???

Allstate board meeting

Wilson: Does anyone have any new ideas for company direction or improvement?? DEAD SILENCE IN ROOM Shapiro: Cut, CUT, CUT, CUT (manically laughing) CUT, CUT…CUT CUT CUT CUT Wilson: Ok, each of you have your list for department cuts on my... — read more

I just QUIT

And it feels so good! Very vindicating! Come at me, I do not give a sh*t.

July 9 Donlen car return??????

We were told on April 9 in a very informal email that we had 90 days to our return company car and to fill out a Word document checklist to complete the return. Since April 9 none of our Auto team has heard anything more regarding company car return... — read more

Chicago

I hope everyone in our Chicago offices are okay. We are still co-workers no matter how bad things are and need to look out for each other. https://weather.com/news/news/2021-06-21-tornado-suburban-chicago-woodridge

SCO Thursday email

Was anyone able to make sense out of that? They “will be launching a department wide skills and interests mapping exercise. Each employee will take a comprehensive survey of legal and broad-based skills and interests. They will capture your current... — read more

Work conditions in claims at lowest point ever

I currently have triple the amount of files right now than I normally do going into a Monday. I'm actually starting to work on them now at 1am. Between having a holiday off (how dare us!), more than 40 adjusters lost to the CCC starting today, and... — read more
