Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

I hear so many people complaining about their bosses as if there's nothing they can do to change their situation. Guess what, you can. You just have to accept the fact that working here means having to do your role and being a politician at the same time. You can be the best employee there is but if you don't know how to talk your way out of a tough situation in a way that makes you look good and your manager bad, you're screwed. Yes, this means having to be an a-ho-e sometimes, but that's how the game's played. It's time to pick up some self-preservation skills if you plan to stay here.
