Let me make a suggestion ….if you’re young enough, join the marines or the navy. If you’re smart enough become a nurse or a dentist. If you’re talented enough, start your own business. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT work for an insurance company, especially Allstate ! After 30 years I can tell you, the first 10 years were awesome. After this ho-e went public it’s been an absolute pit. Don’t let the minimum niceties fool you. Get out get out while you’re still young !

I wouldnt even bother with the "work here to get industry experience" Allstate is just further ahead of the rest with where everything is headed.
Yeah join GEICO, one buffet is gone it will be sold off to profeteers ect and start its own allstate process.
Progressive might be safe for now but that can all change in a second.
All the rest are in the midst of their own "transformation" process of destroying employee relations and work conditions to save a buck so managers can keep earning top dollar.
I dont work here, but in the industry. There are few good places to flee and those places have a good chance to end up where allstate is now within the next 15 years.
Sadly though this is a common story across most American industries.

Work here 1-2 years in claims for the experience and get out. I think everybody should experience 12 hour days , angry customers , micromanagement to mags you stronger and appreciate it when you do find a job with a great company that appreciates you.
If you can't hack it with an insurance company trust me the navy and marines are not for you
