To those who have quit recently or will quit? Did you offer 2 weeks? If so, did they let you go that day and if they did, did they still pay you your 2 weeks like most companies do or just you’re gone and no pay?

Just don’t say where you’re going
I put in my resignation at the sco as a trial attorney and was let go the same day. Don’t bother.
Why bother giving notice, they have no intention of being honorable in any decision they make. I was pushed out after 24 years with bogus metrics hocus pocus, decided to leave before they termed me. May not have been the best decision but I was beyond taking any more b.s. from my managers. I was sick and tired of the mess that was in process and could not work another minute for these goons. I ended up taking 10 days pto and started the retirement process behind the scenes. Made arrangements to move 401 and retirement lump sum to an IRA. 3 days before my scheduled return I called my csl and resigned. I gave them what they wanted but I felt so much better than anyone can imagine. The relief you Will feel once you get away from this despicable organization is hard to describe.
In our department when we have to show proof of a job offer of where we are going at the time we put in our two weeks. Like a job offer email or other document showing where we are going. If we don't have that or if where we are going is another insurance company or a financial institution such as bank or mortgage/loan lender they walk us out immediately. Safe to say notice is almost never given in our department as a result.
I gave my two weeks and they let me serve them. I wanted the two weeks of pay so I did not disclose where I was going..
Depends on area. My area 9 times out of 10 walks you out same day due to the nature of our job and systems. Plus they are just vindictive people and how dare you leave the great Allstate by choice. This company has not earned my respect enough to give them a two week notice.
You are under no obligation to tell them where you are going.
If you tell them you are leaving to go to a competitor they will walk you out the door that day. If you give two weeks and tell them you are taking on a different career, they will let you stay. If you give two weeks they are supposed to honor it but things may have changed with all the turn over at this point. You’ll get a exit survey that is expired too … so don’t plan on giving any feedback lol
