Supposedly D day for Home Office. Not a word, strangely and eerily quiet for a Monday. This transparency is clear as mud

Question for rebranded eSurance claims folks

Hello, can any of the eSurance folks in claims tell me if claims processor was a role in your organization prior to your rebranding to Allstate? Asking for a friend. Thank you.

Me too

I am another former Allstate employee. There is a reason that employment with this company is like a turnstile. I left when it affected my mood and my health. No job is worth what this company puts you through. Anxiety attacks after vacations and on... — read more

Any bets

Any bets on the next employee take away after the smoke clears on this “first round” pre merger lay-off?? My money is on a significant decrease in contributions to employee benefits this year or next...

Can we sue Allstate

For mental distress among other things? Being dragged along for months with missed deadlines and misinformation? Now we may not know anything until the beginning of next year?

Real growth

Growth by the expensive purchase of other smaller companies is not real growth... I currently work for Progressive. We have beaten you because we have better customer service and a better product. I am proud to say that I work for Progressive. We... — read more

Atten: Management

I am a wife of a former Esurance employee. My husband was a valued member of the Esurance team. He produced great results for his Management team and Morale was high for more than a decade. Everyone on their team made great bonuses because they were... — read more

What to expect this week?

Any news or information on what we can expect this week? This is really a poor handling of thousands of livelihoods in the middle of a pandemic. Lay offs that are not really needed and just corporate greed. I have not had a full night's sleep in... — read more

Consumer reports expose from February 2020

If you have not done so, read the Consumer Reports expose on the Allstate formula for determining premiums. It was found that the “formula” overcharges customers who are unlikely to leave and undercharges those folks who are a bigger risk but likely... — read more

Psychological Impact

What psychological impact has the potential layoffs caused you? I am a low level employee asking. No bull from higher ups.

Allstate went from the best to the worst

Allstate has paid employees who search social media for anyone/anything bad about them on all formats of social media. Paid employees to spin bad press. The company has become unethical and stingy cheap. The public and and the former kool-aid... — read more

Who gets the final say?

Do we know who gets the final say when it comes to choosing who to lay off? Considering the type of people who usually end up being cut (older, higher earners,) it seems like it's not the direct managers who make these determinations but somebody... — read more

Adjusters

We are the backbone of this company, it’s extremely difficult to leave on Friday, get 2-3 claims each day of the weekend and then 5 more on Monday, on top of whatever needs to be addressed from previous claims. I wish they would tell us what is next... — read more

Company is only as good as the leader

According to a report by the American Association for Justice, Allstate is the worst insurance company in America. The report condemns Allstate for continually putting its profits over policyholders, stating that Allstate uses a combination of... — read more

Wouldn't the shareholders benefit?

If Tom Wilson and his $15 million year were let go? Even if Shapiro's dead weight a– took over at CEO and they doubled his salary to $9 million (best case scenario for him) that is $6 million in one transaction with zero layoffs that the... — read more

Esurance

Does any one have any info on esurance claims? What will Allstate do with the esurance field & desk appraisers?

Glen Shapiro is reasonable.

He really is an executive that brings years of successful leadership to Allstate Also, his compensation is essentially upper middle class, not super wealthy like some people here try to claim.

RIP Jerry Choate

He showed that it was possible to get strong business results and to respect the employee as well.... It is possible to do both...even with a publicly traded company.... Tom and Glen have one focus.......driving their own performance... — read more

Next week...?

our mco was told that our fate should be known next week

Thomas Wilson?

How come we have not heard anything from our CEO in weeks?

Jerry Chote

Jerry was once asked his biggest concern as CEO of Allstate. His reply was that he feels the pressure of his decisions because they affect the livelihoods of tens of thousands of hard working employees. He said it keeps him up at night... Allstate... — read more

Transparency from Allstate

Looking forward to more transparency from Tom, Glen & Eric. But let’s remember how those scumbags define that.... So pretty much we will not get an update as stated by Eric on his last town hall.

F--- Allstate

Hands down, the most abusive company I have ever worked for. They allowed nepotism in the worst way. Rumors of people sleeping with management. People talked trash about people. They let the folks who cared disappear on the background by not giving... — read more

Timing seems a bit interesting here.... why would they reschedule the hatchet falling to the same week they announce earnings?

The reason this forum is so active

Is because this is the FIRST chance to openly speak about the dysfunction employees have and are enduring at Allstate. YOUR Inspire Surveys, that filter right back to your manager, only placed a target on your back if any suggestions were made or... — read more

Glen Shapiro

Has anyone met Glenn Shapiro? He seems like a down to earth guy from what I have heard about him.

This is ridiculous

This lay-off process is being handled very very poorly. No one knows anything and deadlines are not being met.

I knew we were in trouble...

Mr Shapiro visited my office during his initial road show when he took over... We had a q&a and an employee asked him what strikes him about Allstate.... He said that there are too many employees doing the same thing.... I knew right there that we... — read more

Where is the mainstream media coverage of the Allstate layoffs, agent abuse, and other questionable business activities? Why is Allstate getting a free pass from the investigative journalism channels? I wouldn’t advise relying on Crains as the best... — read more
