Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Boy, I Sure Hope Customer Service Won't Suffer

It would be a real shame if someone who gets laid off ends up delivering a really bad claims experience to a lot of customers. I mean, those customers might leave the company! It would also be terrible if we let customers know what's going on in the company. Sure, you could argue that we have a fiduciary duty to inform policy holders if impending changes within the company that might impact out ability to deliver on the duties set forth in the insurance contract (such as outsourcing and reduced workforce.) but it would still be really bad for the company.

it would be even worse if a whole lot of adjusters and reps did it. so definitely don't do what you can to adversely affect the company's bottom line if you get laid off.

what you're suggesting is pretty bad, could affect people you don't want to affect, including your soul.

My life partner cries almost every day working under Allstates conditions. How much abuse do they have to take?

Have you considered that Allstate's treatment of their 'family' has in fact brewed this level of disgust and hatred?

If anything it is the perfect indicator of how tone def the Executive level is. They're all getting ready for retirement, they'll get theirs by continuing to bleed you dry.

I'm disgusted with what's going on and waiting for the axe to hit me, but what you're suggesting is pretty bad, could affect people you don't want to affect, including your soul.

Well if someone overpaid every claim by $100, times 5 claims a day is $500, time 5 days a week is 2500, times 4 weeks a month is 10k, times 12 months is $120,000, times 3000 claims adjuster is $360,000,000. Just sayin, I don’t think their algorithm accounts for morale, or apathy

Would it be wrong to over pay claims for 60 days to take out your frustrations?

Taking out your anger and frustration on a customer is the very last thing a person should do. That customer is going through one of the worst moments of their lives, an experience they will probably never forget and they don’t need our problem compounded on theirs.
