I wish there was more transparency around layoffs and everything else. Having to scour the internet to find out what's happening at TransUnion is less than ideal. I think this is a huge mistake our leadership is making and it's going to cost us in... — read more
No layoffs on Monday
Were there any layoffs today? I haven't heard of any but that doesn't mean much.
How did your layoff go?
Survived Monday. My TU laptop continued to work. No layoff emails were sent to my personal email. All is well for at least one more day. When someone gets laid off, please post TUs method on this board. What was the severence? Inquiring minds... — read more
Sacrificial pawns
Let's call it what it is. Board was probably NOT happy with Cartwright and the other C-suite, even though the board was behind the purges (pre and post pandemic) of long-term loyal TU leaders (ie Jim Pe-k loyalists). So he sacrifices 10% of the... — read more
HR Email - Performance Evals Dec 4
The HR lady just sent an email that says on Dec 4 managers have to submit performance evaluations of their direct reports. Seems incredibly fishy obviously given the layoff announcement.
Costa Rica
I guess we just didn’t read between the lines in this January 2023 article about all the jobs headed down to Heredia CR. HR, Product, Analytics, Neustar, etc. I think Experian and Equifax are also in Heredia. Sounds like quite a CRA bash down there... — read more
Anyone else lost motivation to work?
Been scanning websites to see if there's any news. This is wait is just too long.
Confused About Severance
The documents on The Hub state that if a bonus eligble associate is laid off in Q4 they will get 100% of the associate part of the bonus. (Assume the financial part would either be 0 or whatever the minimum is given the pi-s poor financial state of... — read more
do you still want to work at transunion?
oh well.. weird times, crazy execs. the public disclosure precedes the internal communication via email, underscoring a lack of transparency at transunion. the overall sentiment among employees is one of dissatisfaction, with a prevailing sense that... — read more
Manager Communication
Has anyone received communication from their manager? Are individual teams conducting meetings following Cartwright's announcement of dismantling TransUnion?

Global Technology Town Hall
Venkat's Town Hall was a joke. 4 minute speech that he read. Basically, regurgiating Cartwrights non-information, generic, corporate-speak. A big fat nothingburger.
10% RIF just announced
Man this place has turned into quite the clown car fast. We just had a small RIF a few weeks ago now email comes out that we are laying off 10% of workers over the coming weeks. Worst part is they haven’t notified anyone yet and will do so over... — read more
Typical RTO BS
During the town all we got the same garbage justification for RTO. There were so many angry comments about how the commute times and geographical dispersement of teams will do nothing for improved productivity which we all know is true. Leadership... — read more
Breach
Anyone else hearing rumors of an incident? A couple peers received legal hold notices.
Stock down over 25% today
Badly missed forecast. Now stock is at 6 year low. Wonder if even more layoffs are coming.
This place is a complete sh*tshow now
Integration with Neustar is going off the rails. Their tech leadership is completely inept and the animosity I’ve seen is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my career. Along with the RTO, I think they are purposely trying to make people quit. ... — read more
They want to offshore everything
Legacy TU management is being pushed aside in favor of Neustar people. In enterprise tech they are heavily offshore and any new hiring has to be offshore. It’s going from bad to worse here.
Layoffs have occurred in IT
We were informed of layoffs that just happened across several units within enterprise technology. I don’t know the size and scope of it. I don’t think it was huge but it’s the first time since I’ve been here that layoffs have happened. — read more
Layoffs at TU
Hearing from a few teams that they have been notified of potential layoffs and have been given a one-month notice to find new job
What's going to happen after the earnings report?
Are the layoffs dependant on the results?
In general, a good place to work at - no recent layoffs
There was a mid sized job cut at TransUnion back in 2007. Other than that all is fine, the company is really good and they take care of the worker. You need to take care of yourself as there is no career plan that the company offers, but most people... — read more
