How long will it take for TU to stop paying you if you keep avoiding HR and your manager?
This reminds me of waiting for test results for some horrible disease.
HEY - PEOPLE CALLING THE SHOTS -
You know the sort of communication and ETAs you're always asking for?
Here's your chance to show US how YOU would like to be treated. You know, like set a good example?
And yeah, your position of great power supposedly comes with a corresponding amount of great responsibility. We know deep down that dealing with all of us (costly overhead, resources, "them", or whatever we're referred to lately) is a PITA, but hopefully our culture's current executive compensation model might help with getting over it and putting forth just a widdow bit of added effort towards throwing some additional scraps to your fellow human beings (beyond the ones on
The Board).
We know that we'll never be part of "the club", but can you blame us for hoping that the hours and dedication we've put forth might count for something beyond what the analysis shows is necessary to fill roles with slabs of meat with minimal impact on investor returns? At least until AI can suffice 80% of the time (and maybe the 20% can keep thinking of how to better automate the process of automating the disguising/rebranding of stones in order to trick leaches into su-king on them)?
Unless you're already somehow in a state of eternal bliss, you may want to consider giving all that mumbo jumbo about "generosity and helping others - or whatever - having a significant impact on one's one sense of well being" a try.
I know there's a lot more people in the world (in much worse shape) in line in front of the future ex-TU employees. And I was working on optimizing the conservation of my scope creep skills before I needed to quickly refactor my priorities and figure out how to provide for my family (and obsess over checking this website in the hopes of getting some useful information. Not that "we may or may not be reaching out to some of our verticals moving forward to not keep them unabreast of unforeseen but well-planned journeys to termination and opening new Windows to unpack and repack for even more journeys to rediscovering the game changing benefits of silos at a holistic level in order to balance work and work life and living to work and synergizing the knowledge that not prioritizing work is in alignment with quiet quitting ... etc..." isn't useful information in itself...).
So I'll refrain from saying "Happy Giving Tuesday". And no, I can not know what I'd do if I were in your position. But I hope that along the way to your position, you've gained an amount of empathy and understanding towards those who turn to sarcasm to address their overwhelming fears and doubts. You might want or need our help again someday, and we're only trying to keep you from getting into a position in which you feel guilty for not having treated us better, as you appreciate us turning the other cheek and bailing you out. And now that I've harvested all of your good will upon your realization that you've spent X amount of time reading this, let's all get back to work and start fresh and become incapable of performing anything other than selfless acts and just be nice.
- Best
Just the minimum until they decide to finally end this limbo.
I’m out of Viagra, so no.
It’s impossible to stay focused - that’s the cruel part. Now any email or IM my boss sends me- I am paranoid ! I’m checking my personal email from work - which is not something I would do while I’m working. How do you give the best part of yourself under these conditions ? I can’t even plan future meetings with confidence because I might not be here.
I take a fat dookie, eat food, drink some coffeees, eat some more chips, then work, then shower, then work a lil and eat some more foods
