With the recent layoffs, do you see things in the next 1-3 years getting better or worse?
Is now the time to bail?

I am jumping the ship for sure. No future in this company!
i have noticed that if you kiss up to the right people, you can better survive the layoffs. i think harvard business review showed that kiss-ups lead to amazing business results. bullish af limu and doug and timmy weensey
I think it’s time to jump ship. I have very little confidence in where the company is headed. I have been here just shy of 6 years but was warned by a good friend before accepting the role, that Liberty lays off often. I don’t have the energy to stay on a sinking ship. We had E-O last year, lay offs just a few months ago and now this….another round of layoffs which I hear will be significant. The acquisitions that seem to happen often with what appears to be little strategic thought of the repercussions. I understand there are a lot of external factors impacting the industry now, but there are other large carriers who are in a much better position and able to weather the storm. Why can’t we?? Where is the accountability for the leaders who got us here in the first place?!
No clue because apparently they need like 10 years to announce the changes. Very much prefer the way Geico did it today where impacted people are being notified the day they were also put on notice.
Yes. Time to jump ship. I’ve applied to 500+ jobs with no luck tho. Tough times.
The insurance industry as a whole is in trouble. With the growing size and frequency of catastrophes, all companies have a tough road ahead. If you’re young enough, look elsewhere.
