Post here when the layoffs start. Liberty is notorious for keeping their layoffs quiet to avoid bad publicity. We should know the departments and job levels being impacted.

Another round of layoffs to middle management in the claims dept, announced on 9/11/24.
How’s the severance package?
I was informed about the layoffs on Wednesday- absolutely true!
Anyone hear of impacts to Comparion?
Sales got hit in the field and in the call center. IT as well. They’re offering demotions or a severance.
Looks like they targeted a lot of the State Auto Employees that just came over as part of their latest acquisitions. The company is super slow and heavy... this might be the right move but wrong people. The top is sluggish and mired in an old way of thinking... they acquired SA for their talent and speed and then booted most of them.
It's not exclusive to personal lines.
I'm on the commercial side of things and received notice today.
is it only personal lines? heard that, but read otherwise. so sorry to all affected
yes they have started! no direction in a week, anyone know about underwriting? tenured or newer employees being laid off?
7000 is about 15% of the company. I don’t know how that could be possible after several years of smaller layoffs, outsourcing, and the E-O. That number just doesn’t seem likely. If it is correct, then this company is in worse shape than any of us know.
Which departments?
Underwriting, claims, sales, management?...etc
Assuming this will be a silent layoff cycle (no myliberty announcement)?
I got cut today. Was told 7,000 more coming
Yes. I can confirm.
There's a couple posts on Reddit from people claiming to be impacted. This is the most recent one as of posting this comment.
