Last day for VSP and retirees

Cafes are packed with vsp takers and retirees hanging out and talking about their next jobs, gossips and backstabbing voices. So awful to hear

VSP CPM ISP

Does anyone know if intel will offer VSPor CPM during the ISP in October?

Sad days for Intel

Most people are planning to leave as soon as they can. The only ones I know who are planning to stay are those who are within two years of retiring. They also hate it here, but they’re sticking it out until they can retire. It makes no sense to job... — read more

Keep calm and carry on

Intel is climbing out of the bottom already. The future is bright. Just hang in there and do your best at work. There is nothing you can do about what you cannot control, so don't worry about it. Your best bet is to show your skills and work ethics... — read more

I gave up, just here to watch the show

I worry no more about being laid off. I don’t care that it is, to put it mildly, chaotic at work. I do my part without too much investing in it, and I just watch drama unfold. I do feel for people who are afraid for their livelihood. I just can’t do... — read more

ARM offer rebuffed

Oh that must have been a tough pill to swallow. Once a favorite to acquire ARM but now a target for takeover itself. All they could muster is rebuff hoping someone else could save us. But the next 2 years will be dire and these offers will keep... — read more

Green Badge -> Blue Badge, Should I Accept?

I've been a green badge at Intel for awhile now and my department manager told me in confidence that my lead who is also my sponsor is getting fired. That manager would like to hire me on as a blue badge to replace them and has received the OK to... — read more

And now - weeks of elevated panicking

In any other circumstances I would welcome being laid off. But I’ve been looking for another job for half a year now, and nothing. It’s really bad out there. I have dependents and debt, and I can’t afford to be jobless for more than a month or two. I... — read more

A chaotic mess every single day

Intel is a total mess. Every day feels like a disaster with poor decisions, no accountability, and nobody caring - which ends up leading to revenue loss and layoffs. It’s just a downward spiral with no focus, and it's obvious things are on a steady... — read more

Procedure for forced exits?

Will there be a 1:1 scheduled? If yes with who? Or a 2:1 with HR and manager? Or just casually informed by manager? Or badge access blocked at security? Or escorted to makeshift cubicle in cafeteria?

Thanks for your decades of hard work and wish you a happy retirement! You all (well, most of you) were instrumental in keeping Intel going. Your engineering expertise is going to be missed. Hundreds of years of collective technical know-how going... — read more

TSMC up and running in Arizona

Soon they will have the latest N3 node in production and over time, even get N2 and beyond. There is a remote possibility that China may attack Taiwan, but the likelihood of that is low. So does Intel Foundry really matter?

Xeon 6 with P-cores and Gaudi 3 AI accelerators

Good luck selling that. Here's the deal: Pat saying "We have the goal of offering a lower overall total cost of ownership." is a long fu--ing way from pricing our slower products less than the competition.

No way Intel will be sold!!

Such an iconic company with some of amazing technologies in advanced packaging (EMIB, Foveros). I don’t think Intel will be acquired by any other company. They still have much left to contribute to world technology.
