Soon they will have the latest N3 node in production and over time, even get N2 and beyond. There is a remote possibility that China may attack Taiwan, but the likelihood of that is low. So does Intel Foundry really matter?

Good luck selling that. Here's the deal: Pat saying "We have the goal of offering a lower overall total cost of ownership." is a long fu--ing way from pricing our slower products less than the competition.

Put in that perspective everything changes. What would it take to make (Product or Fabrication) survive? Na. Hard pass. Find another fool and his money.

Such an iconic company with some of amazing technologies in advanced packaging (EMIB, Foveros). I don’t think Intel will be acquired by any other company. They still have much left to contribute to world technology.
