It hard to believe somebody has been working on one of the most important rule has not delivered anything meaningful in the past 5 years. 4Y5N is now 4Y0N, just keep promising, presetting and lobbying. It might be good enough for a start up company, but definitely not for a company with 12+ expensive fabs.

The similarities are that neither can't lead the TD team to even keep up with the competition, much less beat them.
please remember, 14nm was a year late as well back in 2012ish. so td hasn't delivered in over a decade. sohail was awful as tmg leader. promoted most of the current vps who have run the company in the ground. ann very different style but without the creativity or imagination to change course. she basically just maintained the path with less yelling. same guys that f-d up 12 years ago arent' going to figure it out now.
@rjs... very different management styles and very different results. Each process technology generation gets exponentially harder to execute but TD hasn't delivered consistently since the 2016 brain drain and getting hung up on 10nm. It will only get worse after the latest round of voluntary separations.
For those who have been around.. how does she compare to Sohail?
Rumor is she will be pushed out by EOY and replaced by the new Dr.
