Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

WiFi reimbursement in California

My working model is hybrid, and for the days I work from home, HR previously stated they would continue reimbursing expenses according to cost-cutting articles. However, now my manager and SLM are refusing approval, saying they won’t cover it. It’s frustrating—what kind of company can’t afford to pay for a benefit they’re legally required to provide, as outlined in the circuit article? I know if I escalate this to HR, I’ll likely win, but in this job market, I don’t want to jeopardize my position.

OP is concerned knowing his output isn’t worth $50/mo. You should feel blessed if this is your biggest problem

OP already has his own answer. “I know, if I escalate this to HR, I’ll likely win, but in this job market, I don’t want to jeopardize my position.” Why do you think it can jeopardize your position”?

Awesome troubleshooting guide. Thank you! Is it possible to line his ears with tin foil and receive Wi-Fi signal? I know I’m pressing my luck, and do appreciate you patience :)

If your donkey won't start, it could be due to a number of factors. Here are a few common reasons:

  1. Lack of Fuel (Food/Water): If your donkey hasn't been fed properly or lacks water, it might not have the energy to be active.
  1. Fatigue: Donkeys can get tired if they've been overworked without enough rest.
  1. Health Issues: Illness or pain could make your donkey reluctant to move. Check for signs of injury, infection, or discomfort.
  1. Stubborn Behavior: Donkeys are known for being stubborn. Sometimes, they just don't feel like moving if they sense danger or uncertainty.
  1. Environmental Factors: If the ground is muddy, too hot, or otherwise uncomfortable, they may be hesitant to move.

If the problem persists, it might be best to consult a vet to rule out any health-related concerns -- because donkey's lives matter!

You can give handjobs for more money than the wifi reimbursement.

I asked my manager, since we need go to office 3 days per week, we could only reimburse 8/30 of monthly wifi bill. Totally not worth the efforts!

they cut half the safety standards they were legally required to abide by in the fabs, it was more of a chaotic free for all, intel is not a lawful company

You are lucky they let you work from your cozy home. They should force you go back to the factory or else. Spoiled brat.

It's 50$ a month now. Why would you fight for 50 a month ? If they say No, don't sweat it. And definitely don't go to HR for 600$ a year.

If I was HR, I would have never authorized paying for wifi. Everyone already has wifi and needs wifi it for everything, just like running water or a toilet.

Much like the coffee in the cafe - it's a petty move on their part, but just as petty to whine about it.

If you cannot afford it, you have bigger issues.

Are you serious? You are going to HR for $100/month for wifi, or is it 50? Are you aware how many people just got laid off? If you are short on $, check this dude on youtube who turns 100 into 3K, then claims to a mil.
