Nobody knows what will become of Intel, let alone what will be happening with its workforce. With that being said, layoffs and cuts all the time for the foreseeable future are more likely to happen than not. That is, until it all falls apart. At this point I don’t think there is a chance we will dig out of this hole.

It's easy to forecast more layoffs when the company has negative 1B cash flows every quarter.
Best thing you can do is learn to read the financial statements of the company.
If you make chips on the United States there will always be future layoffs. Do your job well! Stay close to the chips, and dont make mistakes and you will be fine... thT is how you stay in the industry.
The hole is pretty big already. This is close to impossible to get out of this mess. So, layoffs are coming in big way. Wait and watch.
look at the financials. you ask a question and then follow it up with the obvious answers. it doesn't have to be 100% certainty. if you aren't looking for a new job right now there is a high level chance that you could be impacted at some time in the future. this isn't true at all companies so go to work somewhere more secure. this place has been a slow motion train wreck since at least 2016 and it won't be over any time soon. there is a lot more that could go wrong and intel has gotten to be experts at doing the wrong things.
We need to unionize
Easy
a healthy company has layoffs to manage projects and priorities
an unhealthy company has layoffs to deal with poor management
