Yes, these posts are getting deleted rather quickly. That makes me very suspicious that there is some truth to the rumors.
These posts get deleted pretty fast... the mods are probably still asleep.
I got a down-low "you didn't retained?" sympathy question when I asked for a LinkedIn recommendation from a colleague.
I don't know if they were fishing but the lower-than-I-expected attrition in my group does suggest some form of retention bonus from which I have been excluded.
Just get your new job and get out. If the people handing out retention bonuses don't think you're worthy, thinking more for yourself than what you would leave behind.
This is really a brain dead approach considering how they handled the rest of the layoffs. There should never have been a voluntary program. The managers from FLM all the way up to the CEO should know the company priorities and which skills are needed. The FLM and SLM should know which employees have skills and how they perform. They should have been hand picking those who were let go based on skills and performance. Dead weight employees and possible entire groups could have been removed if they don't contribute meaningfully to the corporate direction. Retention bonuses wouldn't have been required and the remaining employees would be happier. Instead they took the cowards way out let people leave on their own and will suffer a massive brain drain that will cripple the company... and then they will do it again because revenues are still going down and they need to further cut costs.
I heard there wasn’t to be any retention bonuses for anybody.
Intel too d-mb to do that
They used next years reward budget to give and it means less $$ for others
