Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Commissions team...

Hi team, are we allowed to make money again yet? Maybe a chance at multiplying? Or, are we just going to be low balled all year by an extremely high target? Asking for a friend.

Is it 2005 still? I was w VZW 20 yrs and these are the exact same complaints that have been made from low performance retail reps forever. Bill Belichik says "do your job." Don't believe me? Ask me anything about the comp plan.

I put out 20% higher results than I did last December and I’m making $700 less on my commissions. They will continue the beatings until morale improves. This is how they want it. Produce more and make less. At least Da will be making tens of millions of dollars for himself.

Why is there a commission structure anyway in the traditional sense? People only really have three choices, ATT, VZ and TMobile. It doesn't take that much effort to to "sell" VZ products with you have 1 of the 3. If you have competitive prices and good service, the product will sell itself. Mobility solutions is a commodity now, no one really cares about the brand.

The whole commission plan at Verizon is archaic and should be changed too a more updated plan. Consider a larger payout as the revenue increases. Not the same payout if you're at 100% of say $6000( verizon money) to 100% of $12,000 dollars. Very unfair. Also charge backs should be eliminated from the front line especially non payment and fraud. Unfortunately, the whole system doesn't coincide with the kpi s.Also, vzw s forecasts month to month are very interesting.

Kiss those new lines good bye if you’re severenced on 12/31. You won’t be getting credit for any new lines after 12/31 that are being shipped in January. Tell me how that is fair. We’re penalized because Verizon doesn’t want to buy ample inventory for the holiday season.

Just before the 2020 pandemic hit quota had gotten so high there was no point in even trying. We are at that moment once again. Where insurance $19 is just too damn high..sure with all the discounts we can get your service down to $50/mo but they are asking us to do that by adding "free lines" to existing accounts of people who don't really need it. It just a deal that you cant refuse. 3 years from now will be funny when we loose so many service lines as a company.

Don't worry leadership will make you rein in sells to sell $10 netflix perks and then Ranjeetdeep the AI robot operated from hyberdad will replace you if you don't sell enough $20 device insurance. Don't worry they will promote their friends along the way.
