If you think Chris is sharing his money then you are crazy. He didn't even build into the sale employees getting the bonus before the close.
Best thing you can do now if find another job.

How is the board going to calculate the qualitative piece of our bonus if there is no board? Hope they just put 200% for that portion

I forgot that we ARE having the Christmas party. Will the EC and BOD be there?

Maybe Chris will take half of the $70 million and divide it evenly over all the employees. It would take him back down to comparable levels of other CEOs and be a pretty darn good gesture towards all of us. Ultimate Christmas party favor.

HR has been cr-p since WS left. The current leader will likely walk off with a ton of money like CK - she won't say goodbye though - she does not speak.

The raise might be meaningless. Here's why. Assume a salary of $100,000 and a bonus of 10%. That's $110,000 of yearly income (minus any LTI).

The merger contract specifies that your combined 2024 bonus/salary won't be below your combined 2023 bonus/salary.

So, your new 2024 salary is $104,500. XOM could just reduce your 2024 bonus to $5,500 and keep your 2024 compensation the same as 2023. Or am I missing something here? (I'm not).

The silence and lack of communication speaks volumes. CK does not care about his employees.. never did. Email was a hint that it is time to update that resume.

He bent nothing - his bank account isn't impacted. He just didn't/doesn't care - I think it was this way all along and he just delayed telling everyone until he had a foot out the door.

This email has to be a response to Pioneer being so organized with their transaction and handling employees with a bit of grace. What a pathetic response, at least we are having a Christmas Party! (that is sarcasm)

CK gets his money! That's all that matters to him.

A truly poetic ending. The 6 month note was a nice touch as well - but thankfully our gracious board has voted for a 4.5% raise so we can sleep easy tonight. Wouldn’t be surprised to see change of control negotiated down now - we are getting finessed.

What a disappointing email. The only reason they said anything about a raise was to soften the blow of the bonus. It won’t even be our board at the end of the year. They will all already be paid, and we will not even be a second thought to them. The question is, would this email even come out today if real management hadn’t take me care of their people yesterday.

It’s not the amount of the bonus that matters. It’s the transparency and respect they’ve received up front. That’s what we’re missing. That’s what’s so frustrating.

Pioneer explained the entire process of severance and relocation offers including amounts and timing, and the bonus payout. To continue to leave us in the dark is mentally and physically exhausting. Shame on this company for treating their employees like trash.

250% of a 5k bonus is so much more than a 100% bonus of 20k…it’s good PR that’s and that’s all

Hes the same guy that took all the employees stock in bankruptcy and basically gave it to himself and his butt buddies. Hes a terrible person that i have no time for. Hes not looking out for anyone except himself. Time to stop worries about a bonus and just concentrate on future employment.

You need to stop thinking CK is some kind of hero to the employees - in a couple of weeks he's going to leave with hundreds of millions of dollars. You getting your bonus is not on his priority list.

CK needs to do everything in his power to get our ‘earned’ bonus BEFORE XOM takes over the reins. He has every legal right to get us our ‘earned’ $$$ even if XOM complains about it. Yes, it might be prorated (10 of 12 months) but trusting XOM to pay it in March and using it as a retention tool is BS. I’ve always liked CK, hopefully he’s got the spine to do what’s right for his folks who have busted their rear for him!

Sadly, XOM doesn’t care about us, so hopefully the EC and the DEN board are doing everything they can to show they do while they still have a say….but the clock is ticking.

Anyone have the video of Chris stating it would be paid prior to closing - don't see that meeting on the Intranet. Would like to get it for documentation in case they jerk us around and need to go see an attorney. This is bulls**t.
