February Offers

It’s getting real now. sad. it’s good that we only have to wait 4-6 more weeks to find out if we get an offer and for how much money. scared of decisions that come next though. hoping the best for all. hang in there everyone.

Really hard to swallow Chris getting $62M & the VPs sharing the $112M but we had to sacrifice all our stock. How does Jenny walk away with $11M after systematically dismantling every good thing we had..benefits, pay, support, meals. Tragedy all the way to the bank, I guess.

They will move our jobs to India before we get a chance to move to Houston….

Everyone will still have a decision to make though. whether or not to accept the offer from EM. if not accepting the offer then you’ll have to make a decision about where you’re going to work next. are you willing to move to Houston. everyone has decisions to make.

XOM clearly does not “have the capability” as they indicated they did on day one.

Their goal is to pay as little severance as possible.

Unfortunately the executives could have taken better care of the employees but selected to only look after their own interests.

I’ve heard maybe IT and Accounting will be impacted but everyone else will be offered jobs. But not sure if that is true.

I’m just riding it out to get the rest of bonus. What I’ve seen of XOM it’s not for me.

I don’t think there is much of a decision to be made. They’ll tell us where we fall in their compensation scheme and then either 1) it’s much lower and you can potentially trigger severance (not likely), 2) it’s similar and you keep doing your job for similar compensation, or 3) you are unhappy with it for whatever reason and decide to quit. There isn’t a scenario where they make an offer and we get to take severance instead and leave.
