Please share the information on preferred vendors for other banks. I am personally interested in bank jobs, so I am asking for recruiters and placement companies in that sector.
How are we supposed to enjoy the Christmas season?
I'm usually so excited as soon as we enter December, but that is missing this year. How am I supposed to focus on lights and gifts and a tree when all I can think about are January layoffs? Did they really have to announce layoffs so much in advance... — read more
Surrounded by id--ts . . .
Reading the comments on Slido, is it any wonder why management wants to fire tens of thousands of people? 1- One loser asks if Jane can "expediate" the process. Can you please do spell-check or consult a dictionary before sending a message to the... — read more
Lot of Director/SVP do not work at all
Just meetings and team politics
Will Jane Respond?
Plenty of questions already asked on Slido....but when will our CEO answer?
I don't feel valued at work anymore
I used to, years ago. But things have shifted drastically and I now feel like a number and nothing else. Citi used to, if nothing else, respect its best employees and reward merit. What happened to that? When did we shift to punishing the best... — read more
Next round of layoffs in Dec or Jan?
Any word on whether next round of layoffs would be announced in Dec or later in Jan? I found the email communication from different leaders 2 weeks ago to be quite vague.
To the bystanders
Jane Fraser's sweeping changes are going to put Citi in a good strategic place. To those unwilling to adapt to these changes, you're the exact definition of bystanders. The message is crystal clear, we have a fast moving train so please stand... — read more
You guys astound me.
Post after post of “when are they laying off next”,”who will it be”,”what level will it include”,”which regions” etc….. Who care? I’m telling you now, and I’ll place it in all caps to draw attention….OTHER SECTORS ARE HIRING!!! Forget the... — read more

Jane is really going to have her ask Jane anything?
I will bet they will dodge the Project Bora Bora questions.

Four days are not enough
Four days are not enough for me to feel refreshed and recharged - not with everything we have to deal with on a daily basis lately. I don't think any amount of time off would help me feel good about going to work again. Citi utterly decimated both my... — read more
Tis the Citi way: Incompetent Leadership 101
We all know Citi has been bloated from a headcount standpoint. However, layoffs will only satiate Wall Street so long…. Leadership team is just rearranging chairs on a boat about to crash vs figuring out how to steer clear of the iceberg.
I'm worried it's about to continue
I know this is an irrational fear, I know we know we are done for the year, but I still have this feeling I can't get rid of that's making me think they're gonna drop even more cuts on us as soon as next week. I'm this close to quitting and accepting... — read more

Layoffs are a tell-tale sign of a failed company

Reasoning for who gets cut
Anyone actually know the reasoning on who exactly gets cut? Is it money, length of being there or what else?
24 years services IC
Will I get at least 48 weeks of severance? Is there a cap? The language on the handbook is a bit convoluted.
Teams whose head was cut this week - when would those teams be affected? Would they keep them until Jan’24?
There is no indication that these teams will be merged with any other
Next wave is next week
The RIFs will be non stop until the end of the Q1. Best to start looking now. May the odds be in your favor.
The problem remains. Innovation is needed not necessarily sweeping layoffs.
From another post but true all the same. Copy\paste job below. “What have you got Jane to lead us into the light” “I’m the first Citi female CEO” “Yeah, we know that, so what are your plans to bring in revenue” “We’ve increased hiring, necessary... — read more
MD/D Severance
I am assuming MDs are not tied to the regular severance packages. What about Directors?
Has anyone gotten assurance?
Did anyone get assurance at any level that even though there is revamp your role is fine? or are your managers giving ambiguous reply when you ask the question - what about my role? Curious..
This too shall pass…
The one thing that the big C has done for me over the years, is that it has made me numb to it all. Citi has made sure that I’ve been beaten down so much with the threat of an impending layoff that it no longer registers as a problem. Yes, I know... — read more
Anyone knows how the redundancy package works in London/UK
We will likely have the next 'big' round at the end of Jan 2024; apart from the notice period, will any redundancy pay be given? I checked the handbook, and nothing is mentioned there. Thank you, and best luck, everyone.
What about risk and controls and ORM?
i havent heard anything yet
In our org the EMT-2 is all intact...
Looks like the peons are going to bear the brunt.. The fat cats will keep their jobs..
So when’s the next phase of layoffs for EMT-3 and deeper?
I’m confused with different emails from each leader yesterday. Jane’s email said next announcement will be in early 1Q24, vs. other leaders’ email said they’ll announce next updates soon and finalize all at end of 1Q24. Are we still at risk to be... — read more
Will be Summer 2024 Before Narrative Changes
All these people getting RIFd are going to be on the balance sheet for 2-3 more months from WARN, then add on severance pay lump sums on the back end of the WARN periods. So in January, Feb, and March, Citi will be able to say "we still need to do... — read more
