Hoping A-I can get to grips with these awful investment made under DS. Financial noose for years. Need to clear house with the heads of the divisions, we’ve got people running these that don’t even know what a particle is. Finance team should be... — read more

Should I join? Offer from another OnG?

Been regularly reviewing the layoff ever since the covid restructuring hit the industry in 2020, and have been an interested observer of BP looking over the fence from my current position at EM. Regarding UK based employees, what are your thoughts... — read more

False flag

Rumors about cost cutting were planted by St. James, so they can blame the false rumors for the bad Pulse results. The reality is reinvent was mismanaged and employees are not happy about it. Bernie wants to place the blame on something else. Later... — read more

Spending cuts

My boss told me there are going to be 12% spending cuts y-o-y for the next few years. Is this for real??? We just had record profits, and laid off 20% of employees two years ago!!! I’m doing the work that three people used to do. How does this make... — read more

How can we improve?

I'm a representative for the company. I'd like to know how we can be better? Why are so many leaving? Instead of ranting I'd kindly ask for true and constructive feedback. What solutions need to be implemented? What part of the buisness is having... — read more

Why is that?

I really love my job and that's why I really don't understand why our superiors don't like to hear ideas or suggestions how some things can be done better. It is absolutely demoralizing.

Exit interview

I'm leaving soon and I'd really like to not have an exit interview at all. What is the point of the exit interview? Do they really want to hear that I'm leaving because I think the promotions aren't fair? Would my honest answers change anything? I... — read more

Letter Grades

Can anyone post a key or table for the letter grades versus salary ranges for BP Onshore America? Curious to know where I stand if I get a job offer.

You can leave this company. It is doable.

Don't stay there because you think this is the best you can get. That place (BPX) is not competitive. Its not premier. I left several months ago and I was super depressed. This place stagnated my career. There is very little opportunity to grow... — read more

Naperville

What’s the latest with Naperville? I heard there was an announcement last week.

Oil price forecast

I hope the price will be above $100 for as long as possible. How long do you think high oil prices will last?

Has anyone regretted leaving?

At my age, it’s hard to start from scratch and that’s why I hesitate to quit. On the other hand, I personally haven't heard that anyone regretted leaving.

Not even oil prices raise morale

I plan to be here just a little longer. True leaders would think about why now that oil is high the morale of employees is as low as it was in the midst of a pandemic when demand had fallen sharply as people stopped traveling. Just saying.

I don't hate my job

I'm saddened to see how many younger employees hate working here. I can't understand why. The pay is good, the benefits are good, and it's a secure job. Yes, there are occasional layoffs but they are rare enough to be among the lowest in the... — read more

Colorado Job Posting Salary Ranges

Due to a state law, Colorado posted jobs have to post a base salary range. I see engineering H ranges being 140-175K and G ranges being 150-220K. Most of these are BPX or pipelines. If I am about to be promoted to H, can I use these ranged in... — read more

Inflation is 7%, and the company is making giant profits. What good is the news of record profits if we don't have significant wage increases at the same time?
