There are many hard working SMART people who do their jobs efficiently and in the best interest of the company (even with the inefficient tools we have been given such as Fusion and SAP)
It’s a shame we are going through another re-org .. how about not spending millions of $$ on tools that don’t work?? how about actually listening to people who do the work daily on recommendations for how to make the job more efficient? Moving tech jobs to India won’t make us more efficient. It will likely slow down product launches and hurt service to the customer but the costs will be lower so who cares? how about the ethics of “cheaper outsourced labor” vs BP employees? It’s so frustrating.

The next BP AGM should be interesting. I also wonder if BL'S lawyers will mount an appeal against the $40M clawback. It looks like he paid some big time lawyers (they act for the British royals) a lot of money to achieve nothing.

bp shipping off large amount of tech work to india will be the nail in the coffin. it would take years for the centers to be useful. and nobody will teach them

@2nvo+1qkvdQvX I think that makes sense, particularly as some other companies have already kicked off processes. I'm not sure it will be company wide? Some areas seem to be short after reinvent decisions and have been hiring recently..

I have no info but I think 2025 will be a big year for restructuring. Mid-decade 5 years after reinvent, new CEO will have figured things out, India hubs will be set up so I expect the US and UK will be battered. I also expect that 60/40 will start to get more rigorously enforced fairly soon, Westlake is like a cemetery most days. Non-compliance will land people on the ‘list’ for 25

@tad+1qkvdQvX To be fair, the biggest fool at BP got laid numerous times, but eventually got laid off costing him $40M. I wonder how much it worked out per sc**w.
