So the results are almost all negative quarter to quarter and 2023 to 2024. Ten percent of the remaining survivors to be laid off. What company in their right mind would buy anything from Teradud? It’s going to be a brutal Q3.

Can’t spin continued revenue decline in a growth market. All competitors growing by double digits.

Q2 results are bad. Anything related to layoffs?

Ahh, cut another 9-10% of the company to reduce expenses. Recurring revenue continues to decline, as does total ARR and cash flow / free cash flow. But hey, at least that leadership team will get more equity to sell.

PwC has an automated migration from Teradata to Snowflake and Redshift. Other consultants are doing this too. “All our Teradata clients want to get off this expensive database”. The end will come sooner than anyone thinks.

GTM in APJ has been hit today with a round of layoffs. Expecting more to happen in EMEA later today.

Don’t ask how I know. Rumor has it that TD is trying to prep for a private equity sale. Management is saying that this September layoff will target 10-15% of the company. Be prepared and start prepping your resume.
