Something tells me that my luck is about to run out. My age and my pay put me in the high-risk group for what's coming. It's sad that instead of your chances of being laid off dropping as you gain more knowledge and experience, the opposite is actually true.

He said he was at 2 companies in the last 10 years. So quick to judge. Must be upper management!
Your first mistake was staying at the same company of 10 years, albeit Teradata or otherwise. You've missed on some good opportunities which come with higher pay and newer technologies to work with. Stop wasting your time on this board and get to applying for a new job.
