Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Back to having to pick up work after those who were laid off

I don’t even know how many rounds of layoffs I already survived. Chaos always follows, and the never ending adjustment of crippled teams. I’ve had enough. I’m not taking on the workload. Not my problem. I’ll just be collecting my paycheck from now on, do bare minimum, and pray to god I’m laid off next round.

You should spend 1 hour a day working for Terrordata and the rest looking for a new job. It is taking people 6-12 months to land and TDC is not desirable.

Don't take on any extra work. I'm seeing it in my team with our SE Director trying to push extra accounts onto us. We're already stretched. Our previous SE Director would have shielded us from the workload by taking on the accounts himself, but the current one just covers himself and lets us to hang out to dry. He is only in it for himself

You are a fool if you are working more than 8 hours a day. The company doesn’t care and will cut you thinking others will pick up the extra workload just like you did.

Feeling this too. Morale on my team is super low. We are down 2 and soon to be 3 (just this year). I have also been dealing with product issues that basically have me working late nights every night. There is no doubt my customers are feeling the impact from the RIFs. I always try to shelter them, but I don't know how to any more.
