Resignations have started.

Injury CS here, resignations have started today. With the bonus being paid out, let’s see how many more we will lose . Maybe the $1,500 bonus will increase, those new handlers don’t have a pension keeping them here . Other sections, how has staffing... — read more

Used to be informative here …

… until the corporate drones and TMs showed up to sh-t on any meaningful post. Case in point … who’s excited for Verint screen monitoring in INJ next month? Yay! Our transition to EXP continues. Shout me down and prove my point.

COLA

Reinstating/reimplementing COLA (Cost Of Living Adjustment) would be a pretty nifty recruiting and retainment strategy right now.

My job used to be fun

Mondays are the worst. I’ve worked a lot before, but I really loved doing my job. It was fun. Now I start working under stress and I finish working under stress. The pressure is incredible. It’s sad to remember how relaxed it used to be... — read more

In office Bullsh-t in claims!

I was talking to my friend from Express who is now an Auto Underwriting Service Assistant in personal lines. She said it's much better than claims. Most of them only have to come into the office once a month and others just 2 days a month. They get... — read more

Bring back LOC’s

And bring back the experienced reps. State Farm’s reputation is in the toilet and can still be plunged out by doing these things. Put your ego to the side.

ET Dept Meeting

Were you encouraged on our future by the messaging today?

Watching the theater

Working here is like watching the theater play every day. There is a leadership that acts using some empty phrases trying to convince us that they have everything under control. There are those who act pretending to work hard, and all they do is... — read more

Next Leader?

I wonder who will be the next leader and IF things will improve then?

Promotions based on looks

Has anyone else noticed that recent promotions seen to be based on looks , to show the company has a more youthful look?

Can you believe.......

Can you believe they would have the audacity to send out an email to all current and retirees for 100 year anniversary with link to the company store for an employee or retiree to purchase 100 year celebration items? Boy! To buy anything to... — read more

It’s your job to clean up after your coworkers.

I was told that in a 1x1 today, and also not to question what’s going on. ECR’s are even dropping faster than internals. Anyone tired of mandatory overtime yet, and also the sad s-b story from your TM? the externals are making far more per hour than... — read more

Hypothetically speaking

I'm trying to imagine State Farm where the leadership agreed that they all need to make less. Do you really think that would solve the issues of this company?

Record profits!

We had a huddle today and my TM shared our financial results and State Farm made $17.1 billion dollars this past year!!!! WOW! I looked around and I believe this is the most money SF has ever made in a year. I'm all for working for a profitable... — read more

Replacement dynamics

We're becoming increasingly disorganized. Is it normal that for two colleagues who left, there has been no replacement for almost four months? In the meantime, of course, those of us who are still here are doing their job.

Hiring

Are they really hiring? Maybe all the new hires are in other departments and just personally haven’t seen or heard of them.

Everybody is so easily offended these days

And I'm not even talking about the hot-button issues, I'm talking about simple comments and constructive criticism. These days telling somebody to do something that's his or her job equals slapping them in the face. If you try to correct them, even... — read more

Why is the atmosphere so toxic?

Backstabbing. Gossiping. Lying. Sinister cliques. I’ve never adapted to a State Farm work atmosphere, and I’ve been here for over three years. The toxic atmosphere here bothers me more than anything else. Of course, there is some of that in... — read more

Pure destruction

It’s really sad how SF has downgraded so quickly. It takes a real “talent” to turn a company that was once great and a dream job for many, into a company that employees are literally running away from, and no one talented and capable even thinks... — read more
