Has it ever been this bad in the past? I joined last year so I have no reference points. The morale of my group has reached the absolute ugly bottom.

Is there any warning to those who were getting laid off or was it a complete suprise shock? Do they give you any explanation? With layoffs supposedly coming around the corner, just curious if I should start packing my cube early.

I still believe in the long term future of Seagate and it seems to be better than WD for sure.

Just email HR, say you are the unemployment office and ask for official layoff list and dates. Of course, not likely they would ever fall for a scam like that.

I heard that one of the asia design center will be close. Anyone with this info? What i know is both the design center just gotten their new building and is it really possible to close so soon?

I have heard a lot of talk that layoffs are coming in about 2 months. I'm sure this is true. I also heard they are outsourcing a lot too. Does anyone know anything more about possible outsourcing?
