Our factory manager is leaving for the state's and not being replaced. Not a good sign in these times. Don't fancy being Globally restructured. Not yet anyway.

Yep your right ,a shocking way to treat people but your missing something your only a barcode on a long list , morale is that low thins I doubt will ever be the same.
I'd rather have these 60 days or whatever to look around the job market than for the layoff to be a bolt from the blue.

Announcing your playing with numbers for 60 days to give employees the chop eventually is a shocking way to treat them........doomed is right! This probably won't be the first restructuring story you hear this year either.
