In the US, unemployment (6 months) will kick in after your package/bonus is finished. If your total package/bonus is 7 month salary, then the unemployment check will kick in after 7 months, but you need to apply for it.
When you volunteer and take package in USA can you still get EDD/unemployment?
What management offering @ Springtown for the volunteers - is that the standard package or something different .... Hope SJL does same for all sites - I would volunteer to take the package and leave this mess ...

71 people to be let go from STST. Trying to fill it with voluntary redundancy first then compulsory if not enough volunteers. Meeting just finished.
Not working today so have held nothing official yet. An announcement will end al the speculation. A lot of worried people at the moment. Of course some will welcome the chance to leave with 20years service. Its far from a "hellhole" although nights can be though on the body.
