My prediction is Seagate SRC IT not able to last more than 5 years post closure of penang plant. Seagate India will take over.

Seagate is a failure , keep all the expensive sites , Open posh R &D Buildings at most expensive cities in Asia ie. Singapore and South Korea, maintained Media plant in world 's 2nd most expensive city @ Singapore (Woodlands) , which is 3X more expensive than Malaysia and THailand , no wonder the operating cost very high compared to WD . The SVP of media operations should be sacked for protecting own interest for maintaining Singapore plant , and operating 3 times more expensive than competitor. The American CEO and COO are dumb idiots , can't even get the basic number right on expensive site location , how to lead the company to greater heights .
From the 2nd largest plant in Malaysia @ Batu Kawan ( after Proton )as announced by VP to zero plant in Penang , Seagate Boleh !!! Somemore Penang Seagate will announce officially the plant ceased operations timeline. More than 70% of workforce will be gone by this year end.....remaining gone by 2017.

Western D is paying out 1.5 month per 1 complete year of service. No wonder Seagate is Number 2... Number 2 in every aspects.
