Bonus Less than it should be

Did anyone not get their proper bonus amount? It looks like they changed the structure of my bonus payout without my knowledge and now I’m getting shorter about 20% of what I’m owed for last year. This is not about them not paying out my full %, they... — read more

Check your browser settings y'all, and don't be d-mb.

In the last week or so Nielsen has changed the browser accessibility settings on all company issued machines to monitor literally everything you do, every site you access, every file you download, and every document you print. They are watching... — read more

There is light at the end of the tunnel

I have been looking for job for months, and I was rejected or ghosted many times. I have been stressed out by current workload as well as the job market. But I have recently received a wonderful offer from a great company. It can happen. Don’t give... — read more

Offshore Wave

So I heard from friends that US Images and US Program Events (Broadcast/Local/Syndication) are being laid off and the jobs are moving to India, what other departments were hit?

WORD for the WISE

This is your career. Your life. You and you alone are responsible. If you allow what you can’t control to steal your focus, you won’t be able to shift your career trajectory. And isn’t that the ultimate goal? Don’t let a boss or coworker who doesn’t... — read more

This company has been due for a change

I know this is NOT what people want to hear on this site but honestly, every-time these days I sit on a meeting I can't help but wonder how it is possible this company has survived so long. It's like the BS and never ending empty talks will never... — read more

Gracenote engineering prod lockout

A notice was sent out today that all Gracenote engineers are being locked out of production accounts. The claim is to test system robustness, but it feels a lot like damage mitigation and to prevent people bringing down production systems when they... — read more

Dave Kenny's legacy

Anyone want to talk about David Kenny's legacy? He split the company so must have made $ for the shareholders. What was one of his first orders of business when he arrived? To make himself Chief Diversity Officer (because DEI is so important), it was... — read more

March layoffs?

Any insights on any mass layoffs or total team dissolutions in March for Q1 closure?

Wonder how this will all work out for Nielsen

It must give at some point. Cheap labor may turn out not to be cheap (for all the cost that inexperience may accrue), reorg may turn out to be very costly for the lack in productivity, time it takes for things to settle down, incompetent mgmt dealing... — read more

"transformation"

I'm so sick of seeing the word transformation. it's a joke at this point, we all know transformation actually means offshoring and layoffs.

Low quality replacements

The lack of critical thinking and common sense that these replacements have is astonishing. Can’t think outside the box, need to be spoon fed, communication in English is horrible. You give them a book and tell them to turn to page 26, they say “ok... — read more

I am not training my replacement

Training a replacement is the red line. I do not care if I am having a new job lined up by then, I am not doing it. Is there a reason to allow them to squeeze you like a lemon and then discard you like you are nothing? Nope.

Job opportunities - experiences?

I have started scouting for a new job ever since this protracted thriller/horror “death by thousand cuts” started. I’ve had several interviews, some job offers, but nothing really that would make me quit right now. I can confirm that there are jobs... — read more

Pay cuts would be a good start

If the ELT wanted to prove they care about employees and don't see us as anything but numbers, they could all take a pay cut and - considering how high their compensation packages are - immediately reduce the need for layoffs. Not that something like... — read more

Well thought-out layoffs, not

You can see it every day. There is obviously no clear idea of reorg. They are coming up with new names every day. We have no clue who’s next, based on which criteria, and how long this is going to last. Well managed, all of it.

GCCs are because there's too much talent lol

More layoffs in the next few days

I'm not sure this is even news anymore, but I overheard a manger in my group say they have official word on who is getting axed next. I'm guessing that means the lay offs will be in the next few days. I'm in analytics in the US.
